As with most bed and breakfasts it is privately owned and run by Geoff and Kathy Mander who really want to make you feel at home.
Situated just two hundred yards from the cottage in which Mary Arden, Shakespeare's mother lived and only a couple of miles from the home of Anne Hathaway, later to become Shakespeare's wife, staying here really gives you a feeling of moving back in time.
The bedrooms in this bed and breakfast are again a very different experience and must surely be among the best appointed in the entire Stratford upon Avon area.
Breakfast is served in a panelled dining room, which is in part of the original Post House. It is comprised of almost every possible dish for your enjoyment whether you be a vegetarian or not. The grounds too at the rear of the building are not what you tend to find with bed and breakfasts. Laid out as a traditional English garden there are chairs and tables for your enjoyment and relaxation when the English weather permits
Many visitors are here to visit the theatres in Stratford on Avon where the Royal Shakespeare Company is located. There are many theatres in the Stratford area and you can always be sure of finding something you will enjoy. Being so close to the town centre, Geoff and Kathy will drop you in Stratford upon Avon and collect you again after the theatre visit or shopping for a very small charge, allowing you to drink if you wish and to have a day or evening without parking problems.
